they're on the other side of the field but we respect what they've built. their detection research is solid. the per-sentence highlighting is genuinely useful. and they've been honest about limitations — more honest than most detector companies.

completely different market from us (fiction) but they picked a lane and built something great for it. fiction writers love sudowrite because it understands narrative. we took a similar approach — pick one thing and do it really well.

frase

best seo research tool in the category. their content analysis is more useful than the ai writing, and they seem to know that. the combo of frase's research + a good writing tool is hard to beat.

writefull

serving academics specifically and doing it well. the overleaf integration alone is worth it for researchers. niche focus, genuine value.

what they all have in common

the tools we respect picked a specific problem and solved it well. the tools we don't respect (we won't name them) try to do everything, do nothing well, and market aggressively to make up for it.
